Arrest ends pilot’s nude romp in the woods

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (AP) — A pilot’s nighttime romp in the woods with a flight attendant has ended with both suspended and under arrest, police said.

Jeffrey Paul Bradford, 24, and Adrianna Grace Connor, 24, both employees of Pinnacle Airlines Inc., were at a diner on Sunday night before they apparently decided to take a walk, police said.

“They told the officer they wanted to go do it in the woods, essentially,” said Lower Swatara Township Police Sgt. Richard Brandt. “That’s the best answer they had.”

Things went awry when people who live in the neighborhood summoned police around 9:30 p.m., saying they had seen a naked man and an intoxicated woman.

A helicopter with heat-seeking equipment was called in, and Bradford was discovered hiding behind a shed shortly before midnight.

His only attire was a pair of flip-flops and a wristwatch.

Bradford, of Pittsburgh, was charged with indecent exposure, public drunkenness and other offenses. Connor, of Belleville, Michigan, was charged with theft, public drunkenness and other offenses; police said she took a flashlight from a neighbor’s vehicle.

The office of District Justice Michael John Smith, where Bradford and Connor were arraigned, said they were not represented by lawyers. Telephone listings for them could not be located.

A spokesman for Pinnacle Airlines said the two were suspended while the company investigates.

Scary moment for the day…

Go to interview a Domestic Violence incident.

A toddler comes out and starts calling me mommy and wanting me to go see him play. Through out the interview the child would call me mommy. The 1 year old kid got in on exploring Ms. Patty. Marco Polo and Jacques Cousteau happily had drool put on my pants and freely used poking and hugging tactics. This was not too bad until the mommy- confused- child started smelling me. I really think he thought he was puppy, confirmed when he stuck out his tongue and started panting.

I came away with eau de gerber-johnson-formula sprinkled freely with toddler saliva. Admittedly warm fuzzies abounded.

I am excited tomorrow is my 1st official  day at work! I have my outfit already layed out, my lunch is packed (leftovers) and my ID tag is tucked safely in one of my purse’s pocket.

Back at the office, my office desk  set up with : note pads ,pens, staples, post it’s, stapler, highlighters, tons of folders with procedure and policy (ugh) !

I should probably go to sleep if I plan on getting there on time. OOOH EXCITED! :)

“Funny business, a woman’s career, the things you drop on the way up the ladder so you can move faster. You forget you’ll need them again when you get back to being a woman. It’s one career all females have in common – being a woman. Sooner or later we’ve got to work at it no matter how many other careers we’ve had or wanted. And in the last analysis nothing is any good unless you can look up just before dinner or turn around in bed and there he is. Without that you’re not a woman. You’re something with a French provincial office or a book full of clippings but you’re not a woman. Slow curtain, the end.”

- Bette Davis as Margo Channing in All About Eve.

Is this a scary prophecy that successful working females must face in the end? Or is it possible that those feminine qualities: tenderness, caring…anything that implies softness and all that is female, is an idea that must remain back in the 50s?

But don’t women face that they are still forced to be soft, and the “ruthlessness “that we got to practice in the 80s boom of females in the workforce now can also ruin us?

Look at Hillary Clinton, clearly an intelligent woman, who has to battle the image of being cold hearted in order to win support for the presidential bid.  Did she do anything different from a man in her political career?

Why is it that a man is the ultimate goal? Why can’t a career be viewed as an ultimate goal?

What is so scary about being alone in the end?

Why did I have so much tea?  Now I can’t finish one thought!

Daniel and I have a pretty sweet spot in the office. We get an office with an entertaining view! At least one day out of each week we get to see some form of an emergency response vehicle speed by, but today we saw 5 police cars, sirens screaming and tires screeching turn the corner! That meant gold; wanting a better view I tried to draw my shades apart. Annoyingly, the rod would not budge and move the shades to one side. So I gave it an extra tug-BOOM! The shades fell down and the rod(the one holding the shades) cover fell onto my forehead. I got a nice little bruise and my program manager has got a new headache. hehe
